When we look at the population situation, the global number is steadily on the rise, if we were to believe the statistics. It is official now the human number is estimated to be 7.2 billion. All the 7.2 billion people are basically consumers! They consume earth’s resources every single day – from oxygen to food to minerals to ores to food from land to food from the oceans. It is non-stop consumption. If the humans consume only food, it is still under nature’s capability to supply enough food for all. But humans have transcended that level of simple existence. Today, an average citizen of the globe not only consumes food, but also a range of technological products – from automobiles to planes to ships to washing machines to computers to cell phones to ATM machines to clothes to watches to shoes to medical equipments to bottled alcohol to luxury apartments to spacious villas and what not! All these things originate basically from earth! More and more mines are being dug across the globe in order to get the raw material needed to make these items. It is said that a little more than 60 billion tonnes of resources are being dug out of earth every year! Everyone knows how small our planet is – just 43000 kilometres of circumference! A study says that there will not be even a drop of potable water left on the planet by 2050, going by the current consumption rates!

So, compulsive expansive psychology operating through men can never bring about equilibrium in the world in terms of limiting the use of technology or limiting the number of human beings that can walk on earth, given the limited size and resource-position of the planet. The very birth place of that compulsive expansive psychology of men represents inadequate inclusive consciousness. (Consciousness is defined as that dimension of life which takes away the compulsive nature of existence from human beings). If we want to run the planet in full health, then it has to be run by those beings that have included the whole earth’s well-being into their conscious awareness. It cannot be left to people who helplessly possess only fragmented consciousness, people who are consumed by their own compulsive desires which ignores the larger reality surrounding them. When we are talking about earth’s wellbeing, we are not talking about the well-being of that physical ball spinning around the Sun, but we are talking about women, men, children of species, the innumerable animal species and the plant species and the minerals and ores which can be conserved and used for long, long times!

Life is not always about enjoying today. Tomorrow is also reality! Humans have the capability to extrapolate current trends and understand what is in store for future. We need to make a change or sacrifice today in order to make tomorrow happen successfully. We have no other planet ready for occupation. As of now, with our body masses, we cannot travel at the speed of light to reach other galaxies. The one planet that we have, let us manage it well! And it is always in our hands. But right now, women of the world, it is in your hands! Love is leadership! Women, it is time for putting love into action, if we care for the well-being of our posterity!

Of all the inventions that men have made in all of human history, the greatest invention is the `office of power’ – for example, the Office of the President of America, the Office of the Prime Minister of Australia, etc. When men invented this gender-neutral office, men dealt a death blow to the root of all gender-discrimination! Yes, today, the `office’ is `office’ whether a man sits there or a woman sits there. Office of power is office of power. No law says if a woman becomes the President, she will get to enjoy only half as much power as a man-President enjoys!

Cause and effect is the master law governing our material world. Every cause creates an effect. The kind of massive causes men are creating today in the name of economic growth will leave behind a massive effect, too. In such serious realities as climate change and population explosion, the effect becomes irreversible. Cause and effect cannot be rolled back. Wisdom lies in recognizing this truth and taking preventive and pre-emptive steps. The best way to deal with a disaster is not to create that disaster in the first place! Haggling with the effect is not advisable. The best way is to deal with things at the level of cause itself. This calls for thinking ahead of times and sowing the right causes.

In the very energies that a male and a female are made of, there is difference. Men represent one type of energy and women another. I would like to quote the famous spiritual author, Eckhart Tolle from his book, `The Power of Now’. He says that the very nature of the male is to resist, fight for control, manipulate, attack and grasp and possess whereas the female mind is soft and yielding and yet infinitely more powerful and has the capacity to take everybody in their loving embrace. In his own words, ``...the energy frequency of the human mind appears to be essentially male. The mind resists, fights for control, uses, manipulates, attacks, tries to grasp and possess, and so on. This is why the traditional God is a patriarchal, controlling authority figure, an often angry man who you should live in fear of...To go beyond the mind and reconnect with the deeper reality of Being, very different qualities are needed: surrender, nonjudgment, an openness that allows life to be instead of resisting it, the capacity to hold all things in the loving embrace of your knowing. All these qualities are much more closely related to the female principle. Whereas mind-energy is hard and rigid, Being-energy is soft and yielding and yet infinitely more powerful than mind. The mind runs our civilization, whereas Being is in charge of all life on our planet and beyond. Being is the very intelligence whose visible manifestation is the physical universe. Although women are potentially closer to it, men can also access it within themselves.’’. It is to be noted that Eckhart Tolle uses the word `being’ to refer to the compassionate, divine essence residing in all.

Far from it! Sexism is an obsolete word. It is always complementarity that is at work! Dictionaries have to remove the word sexism! If one sex had been sufficient for the basic processes of life like wooing and procreation, nature would have created only one sex on earth. Why two sexes at all? Without one, the other is insufficient and incomplete. At any given point of time, in any given place, the sexes are only complementary. A war generally tries to basically eliminate an enemy. Here, who can be eliminated? Can the male eliminate the female and live his life? Or can the female eliminate the male and continue to live? Impossible! For life to happen, both the sexes are needed. So, sexist war is ruled out. But swapping of roles is always an agreeable proposition. It is like baby-sitting! For a few days, the mother does it and for a few days the father does it! In the same spirit, now planet-sitting! Yes, men have had their stint for the last say, 5,000 years and now it is the time for change of guard! Now, women will run the planet for the next 5,000 years! Why not!!

When leadership changes, the gut and content of the leadership also changes! A war-mongering leader creates wars and a peace-loving leader creates peace. Simple! Men want to be winning all the time and so they create hectic and intense activity all the time. But women love peace and balanced growth and hence the world will reflect this spirit soon! As is inside, so is outside!

Women will also realize this that the turnaround of the world to a sustainable mode is impossible if it is left to men and hence as a matter of duty towards their children they will start working on this shift with a great sense of urgency. The ground having already been cleared in the form of the creation of gender-neutral offices of power, women will easily grab all the political offices of power across the globe in no time, of course, the democratic way. Magical turnaround will start manifesting the day women have grabbed 85% of the world’s political offices of power, i.e., the executive President or Prime Ministers’ offices. What transpires after this milestone will be fairy tale by today’s standards.
